On May 10th the first digital Workshop on Inclusive Theatre Practices took place. Vassilis Oikonomou, Artistic Director from THEAMA – Inclusive Theatre conducted the Workshop on the Social Model of Disability and Inclusive Theatre Practices, within the framework of the Creative Europe project D.I.V.A – Diversity, Inclusion and Visibility in Arts.
With over 75 participants, from 3 countries, with a live simultaneous translation in a separate sound channel in Polish, live Greek Sign Language interpretation and the first 45 minutes of the workshop designed in a manner friendly to participants with learning and cognitive impairments in a ‘relaxed’ environment, the workshop was a digital challenge on accessibility for the disabled and non-disabled participants.
The D.I.V.A. team would like to thank all those who participated and those who worked to make the Workshop a success in sharing knowledge and working towards a more inclusive and accessible world.
The video of the workshop can be found on the project’s website and on VIMEO.
